RTG Undergraduate Fellowship

RTG Undergraduate Fellowship

The NSF-DMS RTG 1840314 provides support for undergraduate fellowships in Analysis. US citizens who are majoring in Mathematics at UT Austin and are interested in learning more about research in the area of Analysis are eligible for such fellowships.

To participate, the student has to contact one of the faculty members participating to the RTG grant. During the fall semester, participating students are expected to start working with a faculty member and their research group (consisting of postdoctoral associates and graduate students) to the study of a research topic in Analysis. During the subsequent spring semester, the student will present a poster at the Undergraduate Research Forum hosted by the College of Natural Sciences of UT Austin. Each fellowship consists in a money award for the presentation of the poster. For students of the proper academic age, the preparation of a poster could be paired with the writing of an Honors Thesis.
